WAYS & MEANS

Debbie Smith and Eula Plummer hosted a WPS sponsored dance on May 11 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM for $10 per person at the Arlington Elks Lodge. The lodge served food for $6 per person. We all had a great time. Please support our dances.

Phyllis Weisheit and Nancy Sheffer-Poole will be hosting a WPS sponsored dance on Wednesday, June 8, from 6:30 to 9:00 PM for $10 per person at the Ft Worth Elks Lodge, 3233 White Settlement
Rd, Ft Worth. The lodge will be serving food from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. See the attached flyer. Please support our dances.

Tickets for the 2022 WPS Annual Drawing are in. Five (5) tickets will be mailed to you with your July newsletter via US Postal Service mail. (Note that all members will receive the July newsletter via USPS mail.) You can also get additional tickets from your breakfast, lunch and dinner hosts. You only need to return the stubs along with $2.00 for each stub to the office or to your host. The best way to fill out the stubs is to use return address stickers you normally get in the mail and then just add your phone number. When you buy any regular priced dinner at Spring Creek Barbeque, you receive a second dinner of equal or lesser value free when you present the coupon from your ticket and buy the first meal. Spring Creek Barbeque has provided these printed tickets to us at no
charge every year that I have been a member of WPS. At the October General Meeting, there will be a drawing using the ticket stubs that have been returned and prizes will be awarded.

First prize will be a flat screen television, probably a 50-inch size with smart, Ultra HD LED features. Second prize and on will be donated prizes. Door prizes will be awarded, also. You do not have to be present to win drawing prizes, but you must be present to win door prizes. If you have unused gift cards or a gift card that you received and don’t plan to use, please send them to the WPS office, because they make ideal drawing prizes.

The Annual Drawing is the single largest fund raising activity for our organization. Your participation is encouraged and appreciated.

Also as a fundraiser, we again are selling shirts and jackets with the WPS logo embroidered. The order forms have been added to the website, wpstc.org. The information is located under Activities/ Fund Raisers/WPS Clothing. We have had several people exercise
this opportunity to advertise WPS.

We are presently looking for someone willing to host a pancake breakfast at Applebee’s restaurant. If you are interested, please call the WPS office. You will receive plenty of help from the
WPS Board!
