Dances: Phyllis Weisheit and Nancy Sheffer-Poole will host a WPS Dance on Wednesday June 10, 2026, at the Arlington Elks Lodge. Ann Barnes and Ruth Turner will host the WPS DJ dance at the Burleson Senior Center on Friday, June 26, 2026. See flyer.

Travel: First Travel of Burleson has set up a bus trip to Marksville, LA. see flyer for details, and a Bus Trip to Branson, Mo. For December 7 thru 11, 2026.

October General Meeting & Drawing: Meeting will be Thursday October 15, 2026 at Spring Creek Barbeque 3608 S. Cooper st. Arlington. Prizes for the Drawing are:
 

   First Place: $500 Visa Card
   Second place: $250 Visa Card
   Third Place: Room Purifier
   Fourth place: a massage Gift card
   Fifth place: Tool set

​Donations are the largest item that funds WPS. Starting with the 2026 tax year (paid in April 2027) even those individuals taking the standard deduction can also deduct certain charitable contributions up to $1000 for single filers and $2000 for joint filers.
