ACTIVITIES, FUND RAISERS & NEWSLETTER FLYERS
ACTIVITIES MESSAGE

December 2020

The yearly WPS Raffle was conducted on October 15 during the October General Meeting held at the Skillet & Grill in Arlington. The winners of the raffle were:

* First Place - Marge Baird (Video Security System)

* Second Place - Diane Bowman (Ring Doorbell)

* Third Place - Gerald Banks (Amazon Echo Dot)

* Fourth Place - Rita Beavers (Winery Tour).

Also, at that time, the nominees for 2021 WPS Officers and Board Members were announced.

At the November General Meeting at Spring Creek Barbeque, the membership voted on these nominees for Officers and Board Members.

For those that made reservations, don’t forget that the HOLLY BERRY CHRISTMAS BANQUET will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at 1:30 PM (seating begins at 1:15 PM) at the Mira Vista Country Club, 6600 Mira Vista Blvd, Ft Worth. In additional to a great dinner, there will be listening and dancing to the band “Unbroken.” Also, at that time, the 2021 WPS Officers and Board Members will be installed.

We are now receiving 2021 WPS Directory inputs for both Ads and Members. We have extended the deadline for receiving Directory inputs to December 17, 2020 to give members more time to order. A directory input sheet is a flyer to this newsletter. Your input is a donation to WPS.

We started selling items by listing them in the newsletter. We have always had WPS clothing for sale at very reasonable prices through the office, but it seems that not many members have taken advantage of this opportunity. I will make the order form available both online and in the newsletter when space permits. It is included as a flyer to the newsletter this month.

Tom Myler has modified the member database to accept Emergency Contact information for each WPS member. We will start collecting Emergency Contact names and phone numbers to be added to the Member database. Only the WPS office will have access to this information. We determined that there was a need for this information, especially during the pandemic. Emergency Contact information should be sent to the WPS office either by email or USPS mail. See the attached flyer.

If you would like to see the newsletter flyers in full color, all you need to do is notify the WPS office to switch your newsletter delivery to email or make sure you have an account on WPS’ web site, where you can access all present and past newsletters.
