WAYS & MEANS

Dances: Nancy Sheffer-Poole and Phyllis Weisheit hosted a WPS Dance on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Arlington Elks Lodge.

Debbie Smith and Eula Plummer will host a WPS Dance on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at the Arlington Elks Lodge (flyer).

Ann Barnes and Ruth Turner will host the WPS DJ Dance on Friday, June 27, 2025, and July 25, 2025, at the Burleson Senior Center (flyer). Please donate at the same rate that you are charged at other WPS dances.

WPS Travel: First Travel of Burleson has set up a WPS Caribbean Cruise for Oct 25, 2025, to Nov 1, 2025. There are still openings for this Cruise. The travel agent is currently working on pricing a bus to Galveston for the Cruise (flyer).

Donate2Impact: The next donation period is scheduled for September 8 to 21, 2025. WPS receives money for donated items such as clothing or household items. A flyer showing a list of acceptable items will be included in the September Newsletter.

October Drawing: In addition to the prizes listed on the drawing ticket, donated prizes will also be awarded. Attendance is not required to win a drawing prize. Members attending the October General Meeting can also win a door prize (you must be present to win a door prize). If you have an item or gift card that you were given and do not have a need for, please give it to WPS to be awarded at the drawing.

2026 WPS Directory: The 2026 WPS Directory Input sheets have been updated and posted on the WPS website, wpstc.org. Having your name added to the 2026 WPS Directory allows you to keep in touch with other WPS members, especially if you lost contact with a close WPS friend.

North Texas Giving Day: The flyer will be included with the August and September Newsletters. This is a convenient way to donate to WPS.

Fundraisers: All the listed items above plus Donations and Memorials provide funds that enable WPS to pay our bills. Please consider a Donation or Memorial, especially if you are not able to participate in one of our fundraisers.
