WAYS & MEANS
Dances: Debbie Smith and Eula Plummer will host a WPS Dance on Wednesday May 13, 2026, at the Arlington Elks Lodge (See flyer). Ann Barnes and Ruth Turner will host the WPS DJ dance at the Burleson Senior Center Friday, May 22, 2026 (See flyer).
Travel: First Travel of Burleson has set up WPS Alaskan Cruise for July 25, 2026, through August 1, 2026, and a Bus Trip to Branson, Mo. For December 7 Thru 11, 2026.
October General Meeting & Drawing: The 2026 Drawing and general meeting will be held Thursday, October 15, 2026 at the Spring Creek Barbeque 3608 South Cooper St, Arlington tickets are being printed. The prizes will be listed in the June newsletter.
Arlington Police Scam Prevention Presentation: WPS has arranged to have a scam presentation May 21 at the Arlington Elks Lodge. Reservations only no walk ins. (See flyer)
Donations are the largest item that funds our organization. Starting with the 2026 tax year (paid in April 2027) even those individuals taking the standard deduction can deduct certain charitable contributions, up to $1000 for single filers and $2000 for joint filers.
